a family saga 2020 mixed media: 150 years ago Prussian artillery lieutenant Carl Otto Friedrich T. my greatgrandfather fought in the German – French War and the siege of Paris 1870 / 71; his younger brother Max served in the French Foreign Legion died some years before in Mascara, Algeria. My grandfather Oscar gave these tin-soldiers in memory of his father to his son Franz during WW I. After WWII it was my turn to play with the memories of my family:
